The OUAC (Ontario Universities’ Application Centre) is now open!
While the final deadline is January 15, it’s always best to apply early.
📌 What Parents Should Know:
- Students can apply to up to 3 programs per university (as long as each program has a different OUAC code).
- The high school will automatically send grades to OUAC — no manual upload needed.
- Early offers of admission are usually sent between December and March to students with strong academic records and completed applications.
- Final admission decisions are sent by late May, and students must confirm by early June.
From October to December, students can apply for early admission and major scholarships. Here are some key dates to mark on your family calendar:
- UBC Sauder School of Business — Dec 1
- University of Toronto Rotman Commerce — Dec 2
- University of Toronto Computer Science — Dec 2
Applying early can be helpful, but if your child’s materials aren’t ready, don’t rush.
👉 A strong, complete application is always better than a fast one.
Many competitive programs require a supplementary application — such as essays, videos, or interviews.
These are usually due between mid-January and mid-February.
- Business: Queen’s Commerce, Rotman, Schulich, Laurier, Ivey, UBC
- Engineering: U of T, Waterloo, McMaster, Western, UBC
- Health Sciences / Pre-Med: McMaster, Queen’s, UBC
- Computer Science: U of T, Waterloo, McMaster, UBC
Encourage your child to check each program’s website early to confirm requirements and deadlines.
